DVR for college dorm?

I want to get something to record TV shows through the cable provided by my college. I.don't want to deal with a VCR and cassettes, so what can I get that's fairly easy to hook up so I can record shows? The cable is through roadrunner if it matters and there are ports for internet in the dorms.
