Transferring from Computer to VHS?

I want to transfer video files from my computer to a VHS tape (long story, don't ask). I'm trying to figure out how to do it, if it is even possible. I have a camcorder, a firewire cable that can connect from my laptop to my camcorder, several usb and auxiliary cables to connect my camcorder to a tv or a vcr. Does anybody know how to do this for free/less than $40?
