Help with DVD recorder/VCR?

I have a Magnavox DVD recorder/VCR. the model no. is ZV427MG9. I tried to convert a VHS over to DVD and it said I needed to finalize the disk but I lost the owners manual. Could anyone tell me a website that might have an online manual or can another owner tell me what that means and how to do it?
